The first-ever Aberdeen Cocktail Week has now finished.
I’m excited to share that over 900 wristbands were issued, 36 bars took part, over 150 exclusive recipes were shaken up across the city.
The success of Aberdeen Cocktail Week is not measured by wristband sales alone, but by the satisfaction of attendees and the benefits to the city. I have had the opportunity to speak with bartenders and it has made me so happy to hear that ACW helped to drive new customers through the doors and increase sales, especially during daytime midweek. Plus, some attendees have already shared their own positive experiences with me, with many saying they felt part of something special and discovered new venues they otherwise would not have. Based on this early feedback, I think it shows that Aberdeen Cocktail Week has been a success!
Thank you to everyone who helped make the inaugural Aberdeen Cocktail Week a success and thanks again to those who have already pledged support for the next one.
Over the coming weeks, I will be analysing what worked, what didn’t and what needs to happen to make the next one even better for everyone involved.
